To help you make the best choice for your Suffolk wedding, here’s a small, impartial, selection of the wedding venues in Suffolk that I think are amongst some of the most beautiful for your wedding photographs.

1. Bruisyard Hall

Saxmundham, Suffolk

Bruisyard Hall describes itself as “Probably The Best Wedding Venue in Suffolk” and who am I to disagree with that. She’s an absolute beauty of a venue for either your vows, your wedding reception or for your whole wedding day!

A stunning country house, with a beautifully refurbished medieval barn, all set within 700 acres of gorgeous Suffolk countryside. Bruisyard Hall is sure to wow your wedding guests!

As a wedding photographer who has worked at Bruisyard, I can assure you it will not disappoint! Have a look here at some sneak peek wedding photos from Bruisyard Hall for more!

2. White Dove Barns

Beccles, Suffolk

Fancy a Barn Wedding? Then White Dove Barns is an exclusive-hire wedding venue, with plenty of onsite accommodation and no less than three different wedding spaces! Located on the Marsh Farm Estate, not far from Beccles, offering stunning views over the Suffolk countryside. It offers you the option of an outdoor wedding as well as being able to accommodate weddings indoors during the colder autumn and winter months. A fully renovated barn, designed by a specialist interior design company, White Dove Barns has all the trappings of a Barn Wedding Venue but with a beautiful, contemporary feel. This makes it a dream wedding venue to take photographs at.

A family run venue, they will make sure you have the best time! If you’re keen on marrying under Norfolk’s big blue skies, this is a must-see!

3. Helmingham Hall

Stowmarket, Suffolk

If you are looking for a perfect Summer Wedding Venue in Suffolk then Helmingham Hall could be just the wedding venue for you!

A moated Tudor Hall set within a 400 acre deer park, magnificent Grade 1 listed gardens, it is a truly magnificent backdrop for your wedding photography!

I’m lucky enough to have worked at Helmingham Hall before and it is a wedding venue that will most certainly impress! The Coach House is where you will have your wedding breakfast, speeches and dancing and you can choose to marry in the Coach House too. It is licensed for civil ceremonies!

But if you have your heart set on a church wedding, then St Mary’s Church is set on the very edge of the estate, meaning that you can relax in the knowledge that just a few short minutes after your wedding, you can be sipping on your Pimms and enjoying afternoon tea in the splendour of the gardens. This venue is well worth a look!

4. Woodhall Manor

Woodbridge, Suffolk

This truly exquisite luxury wedding venue presents an all-inclusive experience beyond compare. Woodhall Manor is a Grade II listed, Elizabethan manor house.

It makes for both an exceptional outdoor or indoor wedding venue, boasting a number of intimate and atmospheric rooms to host an intimate ceremony or reception, as well as the main banqueting suite, situated in a converted barn, for larger wedding receptions.

Meanwhile, the walled garden provides the perfect spot for an outdoor Summer wedding, making for a truly gorgeous backdrop to your wedding photography!

5. Butley Priory

Woodbridge, Suffolk

Butley Priory is a truly unique Suffolk Wedding venue. A short drive from Norwich and London and just a half-hour journey from Ipswich, this gorgeous space is one wedding venue you should definitely add to your wedding planning list!

Originally a 14C monastery, this gorgeous building is the perfect backdrop to your wedding celebrations. You can choose to marry at the venue itself or, if you are looking to have a church wedding, St John the Baptist church is right around the corner!

With on-site accommodation, a whole host of ceremony rooms, eight acres of parkland and beautiful gardens, it’s no wonder that Vogue Online named Butley Priory one of the best Airbnb wedding venues in the world! And here’s what Vogue had to say about the opportunities it boast for your Butley Priory wedding photographs:

“If dramatic photos are a priority, not only is the exterior striking, but inside you’ll find vaulted stone ceilings, a dramatic multi-story staircase, charming window alcoves, and roaring fireplaces aplenty, gardens and woodland” and to that I’d add, some of the most gorgeous light – it has to be seen to be believed!

6. The Garden Barn

Little Bradley, Suffolk

Family run, the Garden Barn is a lovely little barn wedding venue. Like Butley Priory and Helmingham Hall, it has a church not far away but if you are looking for something a little less grand and a more inclined toward having a barn wedding in Suffolk, then this could be the perfect choice for you!

Located within easy reach of Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Newmarket it’s a venue that will be easy for your wedding guests to get to.

With the backdrop of Little Bradley Hall and some stunning Suffolk countryside to boot, the Garden Barn is a wedding venue that will look picture perfect in your wedding photos too!

Bury Saint Edmunds, Suffolk

A luxury wedding venue in Suffolk, Hengrave Hall is a beautiful historic house that is sure to provide you with a day to remember.

Atmospheric, magical, romantic and so, so picturesque, Hengrave is a stunning venue for your wedding photography! Not far from Bury St Edmunds, this exclusive-use wedding venue in Suffolk is situated within an impressive 350 acre estate.
