Norfolk Wedding Photography | A Postcard from July & August
A roundup of wedding photography in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
We’re through some of the main wedding season now and I thought I’d grab a few images together from the past couple of months. I’ve already featured some of this year’s earlier weddings on a little video over here and all of these weddings will hit the blog in their own right at some point soon(ish). I still have a good number of weddings left, up until November and so it may be a little while yet before they all get the full-feature treatment! But here, for now, is a little diary entry, a postcard from July and August.
This isn’t in any particular order … just a random collection of some of the things I’ve been up to on the weddings front! I've worked at some absolutely wonderful, quirky and unusual wedding venues in Norfolk
Most recently, I ended August with two weddings on the Bank Holiday weekend. Two weddings, two wonderful couples and three beautiful ceremonies! That’s right three into two. Saturday was Holly and Jamie’s incredibly laid back and intimate ceremony at the gorgeous Hautbois Hall, (you can see a previous wedding at Hautbois Hall here) then Abha and Kai’s English and Indian Fusion Wedding at the stunning Chippenham Park, a Country House wedding venue in Cambridgeshire. They had a traditional English civil ceremony, followed by a Hindu ceremony later the same day! You can see more of that Chippenham Park Wedding here. You’ll note that unusually for a Bank Holiday, the weather was pretty amazing! …

Closer to home for me was the wedding of Lisa and Tom and their Norwich wedding at Hush Venues. A little rain but a lot of laughs at this wonderful, secluded woodland setting in the Norfolk countryside. A wedding that has also made me seriously consider a PacMan suit! ...

The end of July saw me on another double header weekend. The Saturday saw me at the wedding of Chloe and Danny for a church ceremony and DIY back garden wedding in Suffolk. An all out amazing day that ended with a little rain but which didn’t stop an incredible fireworks dispaly! This time I was joined by the, highly-recommended, Andrew Collin, Buckinghamshire Wedding Videographer.
The Norfolk Mead, another venue just around the corner from me, played host to the wedding celebrations of Louise and Charles on the Sunday. Copious amounts of coffee at the morning preparations (with a little brandy for good measure, courtesy of Louise’s father-in-law) and some brilliant company, set me up for the day ahead. This one resulted in one of my favourite confetti shots ever…

The Red Barn was the venue of choice for Jenna and Claire in mid July. A wedding at the Red Barn is an absolutely barn-storming (get it) event. We made some beautiful portraits and they ripped it up on their first dance …

July began with the church wedding of George and Alex and a celebration on the family farm. While August began with Lucy and Henry’s church ceremony on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast and a reception close by to Morston quay. Two wonderfully laid back days with two wonderfully laid back couples.

Kyle and Mandy had their wedding at Langley Abbey. A wonderful couple they laughed and joked the whole day through. And Mandy most certainly took the prize, this year, for latest Bridal arrival but then, as we all know, that's the bride's prerogative! Good times and a pleasure to work with talented Norfolk based Wedding Videographer, Mike Savory! ...

Last but by no means least was a cracking half-day session of family photography in Norfolk with the Williamson family. Jason and Claire and their two gorgeous kids. A relaxed, informal family photography session around their holiday home before a little trip to Stiffkey for a pub lunch and ice-cream chasers!

That’s all from me for now. I have a weekend off to look forward to with my beautiful wife for an early celebration of our wedding anniversary. Then it’s back into the weddings with another double header weekend, a Georgian Townhouse wedding and a wedding at the Old Hall, Ely.
Hope you enjoyed the round-up!
